This spring, more than 60 young individuals from Bridgeport achieved something incredible: they completed Google Career Certificates, developed real-world business skills, and launched projects that will leave a lasting impact on their communities.
Their dedication, growth, and passion for service inspire us all.
Special thanks to Bridgeport Board of Education Chair Christine Baptiste-Perez, Principal Chris Johnson, the dedicated counselors and teachers, and Mayor Joseph Ganim for championing this opportunity — and to Google for empowering the next generation of leaders with invaluable resources and support.
We are incredibly proud of these graduates and their inspiring achievements.
Through Grow with Google’s college-level courses, youth can skill up, connect, and level up for a brighter future — gaining industry-recognized credentials that open pathways to in-demand jobs and up to 12 college credits.
With their certificates, these graduates now have access to over 150 employers through Google’s employer consortium, spanning seven high-growth fields: cybersecurity, data analytics, user experience (UX) design, IT support, project management, digital marketing, and e-commerce.
