Youthful Impact Program Participants Visit Albany County Family Court

On Thursday, August 10, 2023, Judge Susan Kushner, Albany County Family Court, invited young people participating in the Youthful Impact Program to discuss issues, principles and procedures involving the court. The Albany County Family Court’s Juvenile Treatment Court, partners with this program to offer paid opportunities for local youth to design and present projects of interest to them and engage in career training.

Youthful Impact is a non-profit founded in 2020, which uses a community-driven approach to create solutions to fill learning gaps formed during the pandemic. The program prepares youth for future employment by providing foundational skills and a robust STEM curriculum. Youthful Impact’s in-person and virtual program helps fill in the gaps by providing real world experiences and college-level work in a youth friendly environment. Students in the Youthful Impact Entrepreneurial-Mindset Program spent the summer working on personal business projects that solve real problems in their community.
